EDIT: Thoughts on the one (1) good scene in the novelization, where Dolgan and Gorath get drunk together? I've always liked that addition for the vibes of "Maybe it's not Gorath being so DARK and ALIEN that he has trouble getting along with humans, maybe it's the humans" it added. Meeting a fellow Guy In Leadership Position Of a Long-Lived Race and becoming (comparatively speaking) instant besties was an incredibly good element.
