Fandom: Final Fantasy Tactics
Rating: Teen And Up Audiences
Warnings: Creator Chose Not To Use Archive Warnings
Characters: Goffard Gaffgarion, Gustav Margriff, Dycedarg Beoulve, Ladd (Ivalice Alliance)
Additional Tags: War Crimes, Implied/Referenced Rape/Non-con, Implied/Referenced Child Death, Tarot, Children in War
Summary: In which three less-than-savory characters meet one another roughly a decade before the end of the Fifty Years War
Written for the @fortune-favors fest. I ended up with a spread containing the inverted Six of Rods (victory but not quite the victory you anticipated), the Page of Pentacles (a materially focused, practical youth), and the inverted Ten of Pentacles (prosperity not working out so hot; an upset, bankruptcy, or financial collapse). Because I adore focusing on exceedingly minor characters in my very tiny fandom, I ended up writing about the now only-present-in-the-PSX-translation account of Gustav Margueriff having left the Hokuten on account of war crimes getting committed. The viewpoint character is Gafgarion's completely personality free squire, Rad.
